FAQ

Fees

Money often evokes profound emotions within individuals. Questions like "How much will this cost?" or "Why do I need to pay for assistance?" may arise, accompanied by feelings of shame, anger, or frustration. Some might even find their anxiety or depression rooted in financial concerns.

Regardless of your relationship with money, I encourage you to openly discuss it with me during our sessions. Your attitudes towards money can shed light on the underlying issues prompting you to seek counseling.

It's important to view therapy as an investment with the potential for significant returns, akin to business terms like ROI.

Individual Therapy: $250 / 50 minutes

Couples/Family Therapy: $250 / 50 minutes (some cases may call for longer sessions, which can be determined collaboratively)

I offer a limited number of sliding scale openings for those in need. Please feel free to inquire when we speak.

Do you accept insurance?

To inquire about your coverage, please contact your health insurance provider directly.
Although I do not directly bill insurance for therapy sessions, if you have a PPO plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement of your session fee. I can provide you with a "super bill" containing all the necessary information for your insurance company to process your reimbursement. You will then need to submit the super bill to your insurance provider to receive partial reimbursement.

What is your availability?

I see clients in person and virtually on Monday - Friday. Currently I have limited openings during the hours of 10AM - 4PM.

What is your cancellation policy?

Patients are allowed 3 cancellations every 6 months. You will be responsible for payment for your normally scheduled session time for all cancelled appointments beyond this, regardless of whether you attend or not.

What if I need to reschedule a session?

If you need to reschedule a session and we are able to find a mutually agreeable time during the same week it is not considered a cancellation.

How frequently do we meet?

I ask that clients meet at least 1x/week on a consistent time and day. This format has proven to have the most efficacy for results. I am open to revisiting the frequency of meetings based on a case by case basis after the initial period of working together.

Do you take vacations?

Yes, I do. And I will be sure to provide you with advance notice when I plan to be out of office.
